Redefining peering with ERA-IX
The future of peering on internet exchanges is under pressure, due to ever-growing costs, high number of failures, and a "too corporate" culture. In mid-2022 two internet pioneers decided to bring a better and more cost-effective alternative, and we never looked back.
Our mission
It is our mission to redefine peering, by offering an innovative and cost-effective IXP ecosystem. The current state of peering is not-so-great and in a headlock by large corporate IXP-operators.

AS2AS Statistics
Alongside our default interface statistics, we also provide our members with detailed AS2AS statistics. These statistics will give you a fine-grained view into where traffic is coming from and where it is going across our platform. Allowing you to make informed decisions to manage policy and capacity.
AS2AS Destinations
Extending on our AS2AS functionality, we also provide graphs for the exact destinations of your traffic. For each flow across our platform, traffic is automatically accounted. This will give you insight into which (final) destination AS traffic is traversing our platform to. Both inside your network and inside the network of your peers.
ARP Suppression
To ensure your router can spend as much time as possible forwarding packets instead of replying to ARP requests, our platform will automatically handle ARP requests on behalf of your router. This allows your device to sit back while our platform handles the ARP requests. Minimizing the time ARP resolution takes and the number of ARP broadcasts at the same time.
Route Server Filtering
With our roots in security, we have ensured our route-servers are up to the latest internet routing security practices. Some key features provided include: IRR based route-filtering, RPKI route filtering, (in-band) community-based policy enforcement. To ensure full continuity, our route-servers are monitored 24/7 and running on redundant dedicated machines.
Green Efficiency
Traditional internet exchanges are known to be power hungry and inefficient, our goal was to change this. Our fabric is powered by an incredibly efficient platform. This allows us to run the complete fabric within 2 kW of continuous power.
400G Ready
400G is the next-generation optical networking technology that can transfer data at speeds of up to 400 gigabits per second on a one optical wavelength. As of Q4 2024 we have released our new platform which is able to offer 400G ports in our core locations.

This port automatically upgrades to a flat 100G port if you exceed 10G P95 in 30 days, according to the Connection Agreement. Please note that there is a FUP (Fair Use Policy), meaning that this offering is not designed for networks with irregular bursts like DDoS-mitigation providers. Only one CDR port allowed per member.
